Emotion:
Random Thought:sometimes i just want to get lost in the moment.
What:tsunami-res
my dreams haven't been pleasant lately. i wonder what they mean or if i'm simply fabricating them. i don't know. yes, sometimes i want to be so distracted by the moment that i want love to stop all things. to be my sanctuary where i don't have to return until the next day. sometimes it's not the case.
it's a joy being back in school. i actually enjoy the program and the complaining that goes along with it. of all things that i value, i value my mind. according to some, that's the most precious thing of all. you can take my heart, you can take my life, but you can't take my mind. that's what belongs to me.
as usual i've been re-evaluating my life. trying to clean out a dirty closet so to speak. shuffling through situations and deciding what's actually worth holding on to or what adjustments need to be made. being surrounded by other grad students. . . makes me feel like i've actually begun to grow, that i'm worthy of being adult.
i know this tends to go into different tangents but that's just how i think. i think i actually used more sociological imagination 3 years ago when my curious mind was trying to make sense of things. my blogs were more tangible than personal. they entailed a lot more thought than trying to plot my day.
it's been a while since i've sat down and wrote a piece, but i suppose that's been replaced by other joys. the joy of teaching. each and every time i step up to the board i imagine myself actually being the professor.
it's almost that time of year when i set goals for myself. just recently, i found an old list of goals that i set for myself. i think it was last summer. astonishingly, i've reached all of them except for getting a job. i lost more weight than i anticipated, i was invovled with orgs, i got into the master's program, and i graduated. my fascination runs with crossing things out.
my thoughts about love and relationships are a bit skewed. i don't exactly know where i stand with it. yes it's wonderful it's a neccessity for human reproduction, but still.
