What:queer eye for the straight guy

so now that everything's done and over with, i'm not exactly sure what to assess. time has come and forced me to re-evaluate everything about life in america, or in general about myself. i feel as if i'm in limbo right now. at the same time, i feel blessed to have had the privilege of participating in a study abroad program and to, individually, immerse myself into my heritage, my life.

someone recently asked me, "why are you proud to be filipino?" to be honest, i could pull an answer out of my mind, but that wouldn't be the complete truth. i believe the main reason that we are either proud or discriminatory of our heritages is because that is what we are conditioned to familiarize with. given, if i was born sri lankan. . i'd be proud to be sri lankan because we all take responsibility for representing ourselves as individuals and the communities that we associate ourselves with.
