interesting conversation i'm having with ali right via buddy chat. thank you aim for allowing me to sit in a room and chat with my friend.

i hope she doesn't mind that i post this, but i felt like it sums up a lot of our conversation.

its my mentality: ya. i know the feeling. i don't know where or how i fit into this world.
kawaiichibiali: but the guys just kept on preaching
its my mentality: i guess i just do and obviously there's a reason for me to be here becaues i'm still here.
kawaiichibiali: exactly!
its my mentality: but then somtimes i think if i spent more time just accepting the world as is i'd be more content.
its my mentality: rather than criticizing everything and everyone.
its my mentality: there is no perfect person
kawaiichibiali: yeah....thats my problem though
kawaiichibiali: taht's what i thing i need to fix about myself and fast
its my mentality: it's not a quickfix, it takes time.
kawaiichibiali: yeah...

in a competitive society based on capitalism we, members of the society, are allotted the time to ponder about existence and how we (selfishly) can benefit from our actions and other people's mistakes. it is our socialized human behavior to note and point out the faults of others as we so pleasingly disregard our own. sometimes, it takes a lot more strength to focus on ourselves than try to right the wrong of others. it's interesting isn't it, that as humans, some i suppose, maybe even all take time our of their lives to dwell on the existence of others and loathe them or even criticize. my parents always told me to look for the good and ignore the bad. i guess it's a self-esteem issue where one looks at the bad to feel good about themselves. thoughts like "thank god i'm not like that" etc. seem to be very popular nowadays. Yet, there has to be just a second or even longer that we thought or even acted in a way that today we don't approve of. i think if we should have learned anything from life is that we need to be honest with ourselves.

(we can take that into another direction as to what really is the "truth?" something defined individually right?)

back to my previous insight. yes, it must be that this capitalistic society has harvested a bunch of scoundrels drooling after the dragging dollar.

there are so many pressures in life that sometimes we can easily forget who we are to ourselves.

life, it's a crazy thing.
